Krav Maga Shield Orlando is a sole proprietorship operated by Jason Mertin, providing in-home, studio, and virtual Krav Maga and self-defense training to clients primarily in Seminole, Orange, Lake, and Volusia counties, Central Florida.

Information you give us directly — when you request a consultation, book a session, or fill out a contact or intake form, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to share about your goals, schedule, or (for training-safety purposes only) relevant physical considerations on an intake or waiver form.

Information collected automatically — this site is built and hosted on GoHighLevel, our website and scheduling platform. GoHighLevel may automatically collect basic technical information (such as pages visited) and may use cookies to operate the site and, if you accept them, to understand aggregate site usage. We do not use Google Analytics or Meta/Facebook Pixel on this site, and we do not run ad retargeting campaigns based on your visit.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry and schedule a free consultation or training session
• To communicate with you about your session — including appointment confirmations and reminders by phone, text, or email
• To provide and administer training services, including any safety-related information you've shared
• To maintain ordinary business records

We do not use your information for any purpose beyond running this training business, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Text messages and phone calls

If you provide your phone number, we may contact you by phone or text message about your inquiry, your free consultation, or a scheduled session (for example, an appointment reminder). Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of booking, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text, or by contacting us directly.

Who we share information with

We share limited information only with the service providers that help us operate the business:

• GoHighLevel — our website, scheduling, and client-communication platform, which stores the contact and appointment information you submit on our behalf.
• Payment apps (Zelle, PayPal, or Venmo) — if you choose to pay through one of these, the transaction happens directly on that provider's platform under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card, bank account, or login details.

Beyond these, we do not share, sell, or disclose your personal information to third parties, except where required by law (for example, in response to a valid legal request).

Health-related information

If you disclose physical limitations, injuries, or other health-related information on an intake or waiver form, we use it solely to train you safely and appropriately. We are not a healthcare provider and this site is not a substitute for medical advice — see our Terms & Conditions.

Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as reasonably needed to provide our services, respond to your inquiries, and maintain ordinary business and tax records, after which we delete or de-identify it.
